2009 Equinox Cup

After a gap of several years, there will be a British round of the space modelling world cup held at Barkston Heath on the 19th and 20th of September. The world cup classes being flown are.

  • S4A Boost Glider Duration
  • S6A Streamer Duration
  • S8E/P RC Rocket Gliders
  • S9A Gyrocopter duration

In addition there will be several non world cup classes being flown for an Equinox Cup medal, including S3A parachute duration, S1B Altitude (with Altimeters), S11 and OddRoc. The world cup is open to all holders of a current FAI sporting license for space modelling. However, as with any FAIR run event, any BMFA member is welcome to come along for sport flying up to a maximum of G impulse. Spectators will also we welcome. This will be the first time for many to see some of the top space modelers in the world compete for world cup points and FAIR will be focusing on making this a spectator friendly event.
