Sponsors

Sending a team to a world or European championship is an expensive business. As the BMFA team the association covers some of the actual expense of entry fees etc. But we are always seeking additional sponsorship to enable our team to be more effective. The team members them selves invest a lot in their passion, but other sponsorship money enables us to take on more ambitious development tasks. An example might be designing and purchasing molds for making carbon fibre blades for our gyrocopters or, at a more basic level, funding the team uniforms.

In exchange for helping fund the team our sponsors get recognition on this web site, access to team members for "customer demonstration" days, invitations to FAIR events and a signed photograph from the team. They can also request their logo to appear on the team uniform. In 2007 the European championships were filmed and transmitted on Sky Sports with good coverage of the British team. We believe this will repeat at the 2008 world championships.

We are now in the process of signing up our sponsors for the 2008 world championship in Spain. The organisers have already signed up significant commercial sponsors for the championship and it is expected that this may be a higher profile event with better than previous press and media coverage.
