Information about 2008 World Championships

The Championships are being held in Lleida, Spain from 22nd to 28th August. Leida is one of the major cities of Catalunya and is about 2 hours from Barcelona by road. It is also served by a high speed train service.

Attending the Championships

The package for accommodation, food and the gala banquet at the close of the championships is likely to work out at around €500 for two people sharing a room. This is full board, with breakfast and dinner at the hotel and lunch on the flying field. Included in this price is the entrance badge as a team supporter for the championships and a bag of goodies provided by the organizers and their sponsors.

Getting to Lleida from the UK

By Air: Flights from the UK to Barcelona or Reus, just south of Barcelona. EasyJet, Ryan Air fly to Reus and BA, Iberia fly to Barcelona. Connect to a high speed train to Lleida or take a rent a car and drive to Lleida, around two hours.
